About me
Hello, I’m Shibata from Japan! I was born in Japan, and moved to Canada when I was 11 years old with my family. I went to Junior high, High school, and University in Canada, and moved back to Japan when I was 22years old. I wanted to come back to live in Japan, because I loved where I was born, the Japanese culture, and food I missed a lot!
I was born in Shizuoka-ken Japan, and still live in Shizuoka. I’ve raised 3 children as a single mother and I now have a 2 year old granddaughter. I really enjoy spending time with my family, especially my granddaughter. She’s very Kawaii(cute)!
What’s Inside Japan?
Japan is a great place to visit. Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, the big cities of course have so many things to experience. But if you take a step away from the big cities, you’ll see a different Japan. Every 47 prefectures have their own specialties. For example, Shizuoka is a charming place with nature, delicious food, and stunning views of Mount Fuji. Green tea is very famous here as well. In this blog, I’d like to share my experiences to many fantastic places in smaller cities, and towns, and what life is really like in Japan.
As you can see in my profile picture, I’m holding the very famous Japanese whisky bottles, Yamazaki and Hakusyu. I love Japanese whiskeys! Beer too! I’d like to share Japanese Izakaya(Japanese pub), bars, and drinking cultures in Inner Japan.
I realized that there are so many people who are interested in Japan, Japanese cultures and food, but will only visit the big cities. So I decided to write a blog about Inside Japan, and share my experiences.
Thank you for visiting Inside Japan!
